FC HALIFAX TOWN have signed the Evo-Stik NPL Premier Young Player of the Year, Matty Kosylo, for an undisclosed fee from Nantwich Town.
The 23-year-old joined the Dabbers in October 2014 and is coming off an impressive campaign in which he scored 13 goals in all competitions for Phil Parkinson’s side.
The former Stockport, Ashton United and Hyde winger helped the Dabbers to the semi-finals of the FA Trophy where they lost to his new employers Halifax.
Kosylo scored in the first leg and tormented the Shaymen over the two games and Halifax supporters will no doubt welcome his arrival.
Nantwich Town chairman Tony Davison said: “We are sorry to see Matty leave but he made it clear to me at the end of last season that he wanted to play at a higher level.
“Matty clearly impressed FC Halifax in our two-legged FA Trophy semi-final tie and they came calling in recent days.
“I have been delighted with his contribution to Nantwich Town over the past two years. This is in part down to the excellent work done by Phil Parkinson and his team, and we have developed great young players like Matty, Jon Moran and Elliot Osbourne who have all now stepped up to a higher level.
“We wish Matty well for the future at FC Halifax Town.”
