There is just the one league encounter this evening in the Evo-Stik NPL with Neil Kitching’s Stafford Rangers welcoming Rushall Olympic to Marston Road.
Boro have four out of their last five matches in all competitions and have an opportunity to realise their play-off credentials with matches in hand on a number of teams above them in the table.
High on confidence from holding free-scoring South Shields to one goal in their 3-1 FA Trophy victory, head coach Kitching has warned his side they cannot afford to get complacent against strugglers Rushall.
“We’ve just got to continue doing what we’re doing, and if we keep churning out performances, we’ll keep picking up results,” Kitching told the Stoke Sentinel.
“We’ve rested up well, and hopefully we can get that level of performance again on Tuesday. If we do, we’ll get three points.”
The Pics have been largely inconsistent in the campaign so far, taking 19 points from as many matches, but can rely on back-to-back victories giving them hope for a positive result.
Elsewhere, Buxton, Coalville Town, Nantwich Town, Droylsden, Ossett Town and Goole AFC are in action in the Integro League Cup first round.
