Former Torquay and Plymouth defender Durrell Berry has been forced to quit his job after rupturing his Achilles.
The 25-year-old suffered the season-ending injury last month playing for Kettering in the Southern League but now his teammates have setup a crowdfunding page to help him out.
The hapless Berry suffered a double leg break only last year and is now set for another lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Berry will have to wear a protective boot for two months which has meant he has had to give up his job working in a warehouse.
The online fund was created on Tuesday and has already raised over £2,000 – https://www.gofundme.com/durrell-berry-no2
