■SUTTON beat local rivals Barwell in an important game in their fight to avoid relegation.
Last week’s game against Warrington had been described by manager Richard Sneekes as the worst performance by any team that he had put on a football field. So this week he was looking for a massive improvement.
The first real chance went to Sutton when a free kick on the left was not gathered by Liam Castle in the Barwell goal and Ryan Robbins could only fire into the spread eagled Castle.
