A GOAL right on half-time was enough to give Stalybridge Celtic a winning start after their relegation last season but it was hard work against a determined and plucky visitor who battled to the end.
They totally dominated proceedings in a one-sided first half, with midfielder Greg Wilkinson directing traffic. They started the better of the two sides as they dominated possesion and created chances in a positive opening to the season.
