LANCASTER maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a victory over league leaders Shaw Lane.
Alex Byrne should have done better than firing over the crossbar after just three minutes and then Josh Powell made a good save to deny Nicky Walker after ten minutes as the visitors pressed for an early advantage.
Lancaster broke the deadlock four minutes into the second half. Sam Bailey sent a good crossfield ball to Ryan Winder who, as he moved towards goal, was able to square the ball to Craig Carney to place a shot past Morgan Bacon.
