HARRY Vince’s injury-time free-kick gave Matlock three big points to kill off a brave Lancaster fightback.
Debutant Lee Bennett put Matlock in front on 13 minutes with a route one goal from Phil Barnes’ long punt forward.
Shaun Harrad doubled the lead 15 minutes later with a beautifully-cushioned header from Vince’s free-kick to put Matlock in command.
Lancaster though were still in the game, their hopes being boosted by a huge slice of luck on 34 minutes when referee Bradley Hall missed a foul, the ball breaking to Sam Bai...
