GOALS in each half from skipper Adam Yates and striker Ricky German were enough for Matlock to ease out a decent Workington side and secure a sixth successive win.
It provided further ammunition for reserve-team manager David Hoole to be seriously considered for the vacant managerial position.
Matlock broke the deadlock in the 25th minute when a Jake Green shot was blocked, but Matlock won the corner which Kieran Wallace flicked on for Yates to head in.
