SCARBOROUGH started life in the Northern Premier League with a narrow victory against a Hednesford Town side who played with ten men for over an hour.
It was the visitors who started the game on the front foot and they took the lead in the tenth minute when a ball down the middle wasn’t dealt with and Wayne Brooksby nipped in to finish.
In the 15th minute Hednesford were indebted to goalkeeper Josef Bursik who pulled off a fantastic save to deny Michael Coulson.
