MARINE recorded their first home league win of the season as they claimed a deserved victory over Hednesford Town. Craig Carney's sweetly-struck 15thminute volley put the Mariners in front.
The Staffordshire side gradually grew into the game and skipper Stef Galinski's header from a corner was rightly disallowed. However, the Pitmen found their equaliser nine minutes before the break as a corner from their right was glanced home by midfielder Reece King.
