BASFORD United returned from their long trip to Lancaster with a deserved point from an evenly fought game, after recovering manfully from a slow start.
The home side took a tenth-minute lead when Paul Dugdale’s corner kick was helped on at the near post and Charlie Russell bundled the ball home from close range.
Basford responded well and were good value for their equaliser on 25 minutes, even though there was a touch of good fortune about the goal.
