REIGNING champions The New Saints went back to the top of the JD Welsh Premier League yesterday – but they may only remain there for 24 hours.
They proved far too strong for Carmarthen Town at Richmond Park and ran out convincing 3-0 winners.
After a goalless first half, TNS went on the rampage with goals from Jamie Mullen, Greg Draper and Kurtis Byrne, who netted in injury time.
But in the big game of the weekend, Connah’s Quay Nomads visit Cardiff Met University this afternoon and if they triumph they will return to the summit.
