STOUT defence by Bamber Bridge against an out-of-sorts Buxton was enough to clinch victory.
Buxton’s best chance came after just three minutes when Jude Oyibo delivered a succulent low cross, only for Kayde Coppin to stab wide at the far post.
Brig took their one clear chance six minutes later as a corner was lofted back to striker Matt Dudley who headed past Brad Roscoe.
Buxton’s cause wasn’t helped by two further injuries to an already depleted squad.
Brig were happy to bring all but the hardworking Dudley back behind the ball.
