SOUTH Shields closed a gap to the teams above them after Lee Mason’s first-half goal delivered victory at Witton Albion.
The Mariners extend an unbeaten run in the Premier Division to 11 matches and, perhaps more significantly, seem sturdier on their travels than they did earlier in the campaign.
