WORKINGTON moved to within four points of fourth-bottom Bamber Bridge with two games in hand after this hard-fought victory by the sea.
Hosts Whitby Town came into the encounter with just one defeat in their last five clashes, after wins over Bridge and Basford. However, they were without goalkeeper Jack Norton and striker Ash Coffey, though otherwise were at full strength.
