GASCOIGNE MAKES THE DIFFERENCE FOR UNITED

BRAD Gascoigne’s 24th minute goal was enough to give Basford the points and increase Bamber Bridge’s relegation fears.
The visitors were the first to show and Alistair Waddecar’s 12th minute free-kick rattled the bar.
Gascoigne scored from close range in a goal-line scramble after Stef Galinski had headed on Ryan Wilson’s corner.
Basford then went close when Courey Grantham’s shot was saved by Lloyd Rigby at the second attempt.
