PICKERING almost pulled off a shock win.
Workington were 2-0 down approaching the last 10 minutes after conceding two first-half goals.
But the Cumbrians scored twice in as many minutes and could have won it with a third.
Adam Warrilow put the Pikes ahead with a clever finish after three minutes and then 18-year-old debut keeper Isaac Robinson fumbled a corner from skipper Wayne Brooksby into his own net.
