SUTTON Coldfield suffered an opening day defeat to Spalding for the second succesive season.
Last season it was 3-1 at home and this time it was 3-0 away on one of their longest trips – despite finishing against nine men.
With three new signings making league debuts, the visitors struggled for cohesion and it was no surprise when Spalding took the lead in the eighth minute through Joel Brownhill.
