■ A HIGH-ENERGY start quickly fizzled out into a disappointing game.
Stocksbridge Park Steels and Kidsgrove were quickly out of the blocks and there was a burst of ‘handbags’ but neither side could keep up the pace.
The highlight of the first half came when Stocksbridge’s Luke Mangham tried a spectatcular overhead kick, but the effort was blocked.
