■WORKINGTON notched up their third successive win to go third in the table.
Mossley were stubborn opponents, particularly in the first half, when Matty Waller came closest to scoring with a shot from the edge of the area.
Mossley’s young keeper, 18-year-old Liam Lovell, produced two superb second-half saves to deny Jordan Holt and Scott Allison.
It was Allison who put Workingon ahead after 21 minutes when he flicked home a free-kick from Brad Hubbold. That was Allison’s 126th goal for the Reds, putting him third in the club’s all-time list.
