■WINCHESTER surrendered their 100 per cent record while Evesham notched their first win of the season with a battling performance.
The all-important goal came in the 21st minute when a Winchester defender miskicked and Josh Hunt was able to score from close range.
The nearest we came to a further goal in the first half was when Winchester’s Tyrell Mitford hit the crossbar following a cross from Rob Carr.
Winchester tried hard to get back into the game in the second half and Ollie Balmer forced a good save from Lewis Clayton.
