HIGH-FLYING Ilkeston Town have not lost an away game this season and continued that run at Sutton.
Sutton applied early pressure and a cross from Harry Eden found Reece Gibson, but he was unable to get any strength on his volley.
The home side then won a penalty when Max Brogan was pulled down in the box and Isai Marselia converted the penalty in the 21st minute.
