■ THREE second-half goals gave Bootle the points against a Prescot Cables side struggling for form and points.
It was the visitors who dominated the first-half, Lewis Buckley and Rodrigo Schmitdinger both producing fine efforts in an otherwise lacklustre half.
The second half saw the home side start much better and take the lead after 48 minutes through Cables old boy Matty Hamilton.
Bootle doubled their lead after 69 minutes when Tom Peterson rose unmarked in the area to head past Mitch Allen.
