FOR large spells of the game Pickering were by far the better side, who on another day could have been three up before Ossett got into their half.
Ossett keeper Mat Zaniewski pulled off a fantastic fi ngertip save to deny Billy Logan after 13 minutes.
The game changer came in the 40th minute when Pikes winger Donny Holdsworth was upended in the box for what looked a stonewall penalty, but the referee waved play on. Ossett broke down the right for Tabish Hussain to tap in.
