A HARD-FOUGHT draw ensured a share of the spoils at Craik Park.
Morpeth were on a run of two defeats in 14 while Matlock topped the table with an impressive 13 wins from 18.
But what unfolded was a game lacking in goalmouth action, with both keepers enjoying a quiet afternoon and a cleansheet to their name.
Paul Cooper savedsmartly from Liam Henderson’s 22nd-minute curler, but the striker was offside anyway. Mark Lees then nodded wide for the visitors as both sides failed to really take hold of the game in a finely poised encounter.
