■ BOOTLE continued their good run of form after they defeated Kendal Town at a rain-soaked Parkside Road.
Kendal nearly opened the scoring in the early stages after Nicholas Hepple fired his effort wide, however Bootle capitalised after six minutes when Martin Jackson scored from distance.
Bootle doubled their lead through Tom Peterson and were two up at the break.
