■ CLITHEROE had the lion’s share of possession and almost all the chances, but it still took until six minutes from time to finally snuff out Kendal’s resistance.
Clitheroe took the lead in under a minute as a long throw from the returning Lee Pugh caused mayhem in the box and Ross Dent fired home.
It was Pugh himself who claimed the second goal, again from a long throw, as the ball was palmed into the net. Kendal then stunned the home crowd aftre 29 minutes as Tyreece Davies spun on the edge of the box and finished.
