■ PRESCOT Cables were sunk at home by highflying Leek Town.
The home side dominated the first half and, in truth, did not look like the side near the bottom of the table.
Taylor Brickell had the best chance for the home side when he seized upon Lewis Buckley’s flicked header leaving him clean through on goal, but the Leek keeper Daniel Roberts made himself big and was able to save his effort.
Sam O’Halleron also saw an effort cleared off the line before the half-time break.
