MORPETH Town eased to a comfortable win over Ashton United to the delight of new fans at Craik Park.
After giving away tickets to schoolchildren in the build-up to the Non-League Day clash, Morpeth put on a show in front of a crowd of 624 and should, in truth, have won by a larger margin.
Andrew Johnson scored his 21st of the campaign in the 31st minute. In typical fashion, he cut in off the left flank before arcing a shot into the far corner.
