■ JAMES Walshaw scored twice as Ossett edged past Shildon on a glorious spring afternoon.
The visitors looked to control the game and had a half-chance well saved by Ed Hall, but it was Ossett who were more clinical.
Luke Hogg floated a freekick that Walshaw was quickest to, knocking the ball past Shaun Newbrook.
Shildon looked to have equalised, but the strike was ruled out for offside.
After the break, Ify Ofoegbu forced his way through and found Walshaw, who fired high into the net.
