A STOPPAGE time goal kept alive Witton’s hope of avoiding relegation – and ended Lancaster’s sixgame unbeaten run.
Witton made a positive start to the game but it was Lancaster who had the first real opportunity to take the lead after 11 minutes when a volley from Nathan Reid was brilliantly saved by Greg Hall.
Witton thought they had taken the lead after 35 minutes when Nathan Okome headed home a Danny McKenna freekick but the goal weas ruled out for offside.
