WARRINGTON Town kept their heads above the play-off parapet with a crucial victory over Atherton Collieries at a sunny Skuna Stadium.
A first-half penalty from Stefan Mols and a header from Josh Amis sealed the points for the Yellows, despite the Colls pushing hard in the second half.
The visitors took the lead after just ten minutes, the referee pointing to the spot after the ball struck Danny Lafferty’s hand in the box. Mols sent Danny Taberner the wrong way from the spot.
