CALLUM Saunders was the coolest man in Northwich on a warm day, scoring twice from the penalty spot to keep alive Witton Albion’s survival hopes.
His second goal, struck firmly to goalkeeper Jack McIntyre’s left after Olly Thornley had wrestled the striker to the floor, arrived with just three minutes remaining.
Basford’s success at Stafford means a draw would have been insufficient to save the hosts.
