NEW recruit Max Harrop came off the bench to settle the outcome in Ashton United’s favour.
The summer signing from Tameside neighbours Curzon Ashton applied a neat finish to Tom Warren’s cross.
“We knew it was a tough place to go on the opening day,” reflected Robins’ boss Michael Clegg. “Every lad that played in that heat deserves a pat on the back.”
His revamped side featured seven new faces at the start but it was a familiar one, goalkeeper Greg Hartley, who stood out before the break....
