DAVENTRY Town recorded their first home win of the season over a spirited Dereham Town.
It took a good full length save from James Martin to deny Ryan Swift before debutant Aaron King almost scored with a volley from a tight angle that Ross Bilham did well to keep out.
In the second half, Martin again made a great stop when closing down a one on one. Then Tom Lorraine broke the deadlock in the 69th minute after a series of one-twos in the box with King.
It was King who made the game safe, picking up a loose ball in the box...
