MORPETH’S stunning three-goal first half sealed victory over a Stalybridge side which drew a third consecutive blank in front of goal.
Celtic looked the likelier scorers early on. Raul Correia, Osebi Abadaki and Tinashe Chakwana all had chances but only Chakwana testing Morpeth keeper Dan Lowson.
But the visitors led on 15 minutes. A long ball down the middle found Connor Thomson, who wrong-footed Celtic number five Dahrius Waldron and found the net.
