■ FOR ALL but ten minutes St Neots were the better
side, but after conceding two identical goals to unbeaten Spalding United in the first eight minutes they had a mountain to climb that proved too steep.
A James Clifton corner on 55 seconds was headed across goal by Nathan Stainfield to fellow defender Sam Cartwright to supply the finish. And, seven minutes later the trio ,produced a duplicate performance to make it 2-0.
