TOM Stephens scored six minutes from time as Widnes earned their first home league win of the season against Trafford.
Widnes got themselves in front on the half-hour mark when Max Bardsley-Rowe raced in behind to meet Luke Sephton’s through ball.
He hit the post with his initial shot but made no mistake on the rebound to open the scoring.
Michael Ellison’s side were pegged back when Matty Morgan headed home at the back-post to equalise from a set-piece.
