SKELMERSDALE followed up two away wins with victory over second-placed Mossley.
In an evenly matched first half the hosts had chances with Elliot Morris and Mini Adegbenro going close.
It was goalless at the break and two minutes into the second half a slip by Joe Herbert let in Jack Banister for Mossley who was denied by a fantastic save by Sam Ashton, making his second debut having rejoined 24 hours earlier from Bootle.
