NIALL Davie celebrated his 200th appearance for Carlton Town as the Millers inflicted only a second defeat of the season upon Pontefract Collieries in a narrow victory at Stoke Lane.
Davie pounced from six yards after goalkeeper Lloyd Allinson could only parry a Brad Wells shot midway through the second half.
The win was fully deserved as Carlton controlled the game against play-off chasing Collieries.
Alex Howes went close in the first half while Aaron Opoku should have sealed the win late on but fired wide of an open goal.
