SPALDING secured a vital three points over Sporting Khalsa, as the hosts edged closer to the top in a major promotion clash.
The Tulips were feeling confident after announcing the signing of former Boston midfielder Lewis Hillard prior to kick-off, but fans would only experience a substitute appearance from the new man.
Spalding took the lead just four minutes in, as Stefan Broccoli and Charlie Hart linked up to feed Dylan Edge, who swept home from close range.
