KIDSGROVE Athletic stayed in the hunt for a play-off place after beating Widnes, in a game where both sides were reduced to 10 men.
Grove opened the scoring after just nine minutes when Will Saxon swept the ball past Cameron Terry.
The Whites almost levelled, but Matty Rain’s effort beat goalkeeper Sam Booth but hit a post.
