CONSETT slumped to a defeat to Brighouse Town in new manager Tony Fawcett’s first home game.
The visitors took the lead in the 21st minute thanks to a fine solo run from Laurence Sorhaindo and doubled their advantage through Jack Boyle.
Shortly before half-time the visitors took complete control as Sorhaindo converted from the penalty spot.
The Steelmen were given a lifeline back into the game after 51 minutes when Brighouse skipper Corey Gregory was sent off for handball and Zak Atkinson scored from the spot to make it 3-1.
