■ LEAGUE leaders Spalding slipped to defeat as Cambridge City recorded a much-needed victory.
It could have been different if Spalding had not had a firsthalf goal ruled out for offside.
As the rain continued to fall, the rest of the half was a bit of a scrappy affair, but the match swung in favour of the visitors when they were awarded a 68th-minute penalty. Dan Cotton made no mistake.
Four minutes later, and it was a carbon copy as the referee pointed to the spot for another penalty and it was Cotton again who made no mistake to double the lea...
