WITH windy conditions, neither were able to grab a foothold in the first half with chances few and far between. There was a ten-minute break as Pontefract captain Jack Greenhough suffered a head injury, but was gladly able to walk off the field.
The second half came to life when a ball to the back post was headed in by Jordan Cooke to give the visitors a lead. Pontefract didn’t take long to respond as Gavin Allott flicked in a cross to level, then within three minutes Joe Lumsden reacted first to fire in a second for Pontefract.
