■ CALLUM Lees’s goal saw Newcastle Town slip to a damaging defeat to Skelmersdale United at the Red Industries Stadium.
The home side’s cause was not helped by the 14th-minute dismissal of defender Oliver Harrison, deemed to have denied a goal scoring opportunity when conceding a penalty that Mike Burke duly dispatched.
The visitors doubled their lead after 26 minutes when Max Hazeldine finished from close range before Tim Grice pulled one back.
