■ CLITHEROE put the disappointment of last week’s narrow defeat behind them and cruised both to victory and to the top of the table.
The home side dominated large portions of the game and could have won by a bigger margin.
They took the lead when Sefton Gonzales closed down the 1874 keeper, who in turn brought him down.
Richie Baker converted the penalty. Baker then turned provider as his driven corner was met unchallenged by Domaine Rouse.
In a purple period both Gonzales and Rouse could have each scored two more, before Ross Dent was foule...
