WORKSOP Town stretched their unbeaten run to six games with a hard-fought win over Atherton Collieries.
The Tigers took the lead through an unlikely source on eight minutes. Right-back Regan Hutchinson netted his first goal for the club when he drove into the box and finished well into the far corner after a give-and-go with Aleks Starcenko.
However, basement side Atherton ought to have equalised on the half-hour mark when Joe Adams picked up a stray pass from keeper Paul Cooper.
