AN EXHILARATING encounter in Nottingham saw Basford hold highflying Hyde to a point.
Both teams had chances to break the deadlock, with Basford’s Jordan Hallam going the closest in a game that saw two off-the-line clearances.
Plenty of opportunities went begging for both teams as the tempo remained fierce in the first half, with the returning Hallam looking a threat early on as he forced Jordan Eastham into a great save.
