■ THERE was great joy from a sizeable visiting support at Church Road, as Rugby Town beat Boldmere at home to avoid relegation, by a goal difference of three, at the expense of Rushden and Diamonds.
After a bright start, things went wrong for the hosts after 15 minutes when Loyiso Recci put the visitors ahead from a hotly disputed penalty.
